As part of creating your sites with their safe zones (geofences), you can add asset icons to planned locations on your site map.

  • These asset icons allow you to map out where assets or specific areas should be on site, such as for marker boards or a site access point.

  • Asset icons can then be paired with the Tended devices to sync to a device and track their live location: no more leaving or misplacing equipment.

How to add an asset icon to your site

  1. Log in to your Tended Dashboard.

  2. Click "Projects" in the left-hand side bar to access the site page.

  3. Find your project and click "View project" to add an asset to an existing site or "Start a new project" to add an asset icon to a new site.

  4. You should now be at the project overview page. To add asset icons you need to open a site with your geofences.

    1. You can either add a new site by clicking "Create site" and filling out the details

    2. Or go via an existing site by clicking the "Edit site" button.

  5. You should now see the edit site page, click "Next step".

  6. You will now be at the site map page. Click "Add asset" in the bottom left corner.

  7. You can create a new asset type here or add an existing asset type. To add an existing asset type:

    1. Click on the marker you'd like to add to this site.

    2. The marker icon will show on the site map. Click and drag this icon into place.

For example: where a marker board or plant will be on site, or to highlight your safe site access point.

  8. You can repeat this for as many markers as you'd like. Then click "Done".
