Enrolled clients can connect their EV with Tenet’s smart charging service to lower their EV charging costs by an estimated additional $40 per month. TenetConnect also provides insights into how to realize financial and carbon emission savings.

Smart charging is a feature that allows Tenet customers to optimize their at-home charging costs by automating the charging process based on their cheapest available electricity rates.

Simply set a daily ready time, like 8 AM, and we'll intelligently charge your vehicle during the lowest rate periods according to your specific utility plan. This automated and intelligent approach can result in average savings of $40 a month on at-home charging costs.

Setting it up is easy - just log into Tenet, set your daily ready time and utility plan under the 'Smart charging' feature, and enjoy automated, cost-effective charging!

Smart charging is compatible with all chargers; there’s no need to connect your charger - only your vehicle.

Vehicles

Not all vehicle makes and models are currently supported. We are actively working with our charging partner to expand the range of supported vehicles. At the moment, compatibility is contingent on the vehicle manufacturer applications, and unfortunately, not all of them support this feature just yet. We are committed to enhancing the smart charging experience and anticipate broadening our compatibility to include more vehicles soon. Stay tuned for updates!

Tenet securely manages your home charging process through a partnership with Enode. By providing your OEM (Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Fisker) credentials, Tenet gains the ability to intelligently assess and manage the battery charge thresholds and electricity flow to your vehicle. This means we do not need access to your home charger directly.

This ensures that your vehicle is charged and ready to use by the time you need it, optimizing the charging process to be efficient and cost-effective. We prioritize your security and privacy, ensuring all connections and data handling are executed with the utmost integrity and safety.

Tenet determines optimal times to charge based on your specific electricity plan.

With your plan provider and name, we are able to pull the cost of electricity to your home at various times throughout the day. This granularity enables Tenet to intelligently instruct your vehicle to start and stop charging at the most cost-effective times. If you need your vehicle sooner, feel free to turn smart charging. Our primary goal is to maximize the amount of charging done during off-peak and discounted times, ensuring you reap the benefit of saving on charging.

Your savings are highly dependent on the plan you are on. We recommend customers explore switching to a variable rate (time of use) plan, which changes the price of electricity based on the time of day and demand.
