To achieve better quality live view and event/time-lapse snapshots with TetherX, we recommend the following settings for Dahua cameras.
Note: You may find the tunnelling feature useful in order to access the camera settings remotely.
In the Camera Settings
For the primary stream, we recommend setting to H.264. You can learn more about H.264 and H.265 support here. For example:
Enable
Sub Stream 2
and select it from the dropdown menu.
βNote: If Sub Stream 2 is not available, Sub Stream 1 will work too, but usually has a lower resolution - in this case you can skip the TetherX steps below.

For the best performance vs. quality balance, set the

Please note if you have not enabled Sub Stream 2 above, please skip this step:
Click on Admin (top right) -> Cameras.
Click on the pencil icon to edit the camera.
Switch to the Advanced tab.
Under the Analytics URL, enter:
