Sometimes we get questions from you on how you can stay motivated.
Staying motivated and consistent with workouts can be a real challenge.
This is also a big reason our app is designed the way it is.
Have a look at this article: How our system keeps you motivated
Here are some thoughts and advice I'd like to share:
1. Start Slow and Steady: Firstly, two workouts a week is a great start. Remember, consistency is key, and it's often the most challenging part.
To boost motivation, consider beginning with three workouts a week, each lasting around 15 minutes. The goal is to make it super easy to get started, reducing the mental resistance to exercise. Trust me; this approach can be surprisingly effective.
The objective is straightforward: just show up and start moving. Your mind will likely have far fewer objections to a short 15-minute workout than it would to a daunting 40-minute session filled with equipment frustrations. So, I'd recommend starting with this approach. Put your emphasis on the process—simply showing up—rather than tackling demanding workouts right away.
2. Focus on the Process: Rather than fixating on intense, time-consuming workouts, concentrate on showing up consistently. Building the habit is the foundation, and once you're in the groove, you can gradually ramp up the intensity and duration of your sessions.
3. Adapt Your Workouts: Don't hesitate to make your workouts easier, especially if you're just starting or recovering from an injury.
In our app you can manually adjust your progressions and what step you are actually on.
Especially if you're starting fresh after a break or recovering from an injury, it's crucial to take things slow. You might want to start with steps in a progression that are much easier than what you are normally used to.
This enables you to concentrate on higher rep ranges to condition your nervous system, foster robust joint health, and gradually raise the intensity.
This aligns with the app's approach, which incrementally challenges you as you progress, but slowly, gradually, progressively which is what builds strong joints and strength for life.
Remember, it's your journey, and everyone progresses at their own pace. The important thing is to keep moving forward. As you get used to the routine, it will become more manageable, and you'll find yourself naturally motivated to push further.
4. Celebrate Every Success: I know this is so corny, but seriously. Celebrate your victories, regardless of their size. Every achievement is a step forward in your fitness journey. Pay attention to the progress you are making at the end of each workout
And share publicly either in our FB group or with your friends and family on social.
5. Stay Connected to Your "Why": This is the last one but important. Reflect on the reasons that initially inspired your fitness journey. Keeping your motivations in mind can serve as a powerful source of encouragement. And although you might have some aesthetic goals, please focus on your future as a strong, capable, mobile., pain-free human being. Focus on what this strength and mobility will enable you to do. A six-pack si good, but believe me, in a few years no one will care, but you and your family will care weather you are in pain,s strong, and capable.,
