Add a Note or Document to a Company

You can easily attach a Note or a Document to a Company’s record within your Thrive tenant

Add a Company Note

  • Select “Companies” from left-hand side navigation

  • Find the Company record you would like to add a note to by either by entering the name in the search bar or scrolling through available records

  • Click on the name of the Company, select the Note tab

  • If there is not yet a Note on the Company record, select the “Add a Note to record on this Company” option. If there are existing Notes already recorded, select the blue plus sign on the right hand side. You can also edit existing notes (previously created by you) by selecting the three dots on the right hand side that appear when you hover over the Note

  • Title your Note on the top bar (it auto creates with “Untitled Note + Date” if you do not enter a title) and select your Note’s visibility level

    • Sept 4 Release Notes: Primary action button is now "Publish" (defaulting to Internal visibility) and the secondary action is "Save Draft" (effectively keeping it private/Just Me)

  • Tag any other records in your note by entering their information in the “related to” bar. IIf you add any other records (Companies, Searches or Contacts) that note will also appear on said record’s page.

  • Enter the body of your note where it says “Start typing” and format your content as needed using the selector on the bottom of your screen

Add a Document to a Company’s Record

  • Select “Companies” from left-hand side navigation

  • Find the Company record you would like to add a document to by either by entering the name in the search bar or scrolling through available records

  • Click on the name of the Company, select the “Other” dropdown and then select “Document” from the available options

  • Click to upload or drag and drop the document you would like to upload

  • Employee Notes: You can now view notes linked to both current and former employees of the company directly from the company side panel.

  • Filtering:

    • Toggle "Company Notes" on or off to filter between general company notes and notes associated with specific employees.

    • Use the “Limit to” filter to toggle views between Current Employees, Former Employees, or All Employee notes.

  • Threaded Replies: You can now reply directly to notes left by colleagues and clients.

    • Nesting: Replies will appear nested below the original note, creating a clear conversation thread.

    • Collaboration: Both internal team members and external clients (if the note is shared) can reply back and forth.
