We are introducing a powerful, fully embedded LinkedIn profile experience directly within Thrive. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned recruiter, you can now seamlessly review a candidate's experience, send an InMail, and export new candidates from LinkedIn directly into your Thrive projects—all from one unified workspace.
What is the LinkedIn CRM Connect Integration?
This feature brings the familiar power of LinkedIn Recruiter right into your Thrive environment. Here is what you can expect:
The LinkedIn Recruiter Tab: Once the integration is enabled, you will see a new LinkedIn Recruiter tab on each person's profile in Thrive.
Embedded Profile: Clicking this tab takes you to a fully functional, embedded version of their LinkedIn profile.
Familiar Interface: You will see the exact same layout you are used to in the LinkedIn Recruiter UI, including their summary, experience, education, and skills.
How to View Profiles and Send InMail in Thrive
Follow these simple steps to reach out to candidates without leaving the platform:
Navigate to a candidate's profile in Thrive and click the LinkedIn Recruiter tab.
Click the Send InMail option visible at the top of the profile.
The system will automatically populate a draft using an AI-generated message.
You can clear this text to type your own personalized outreach.
Scroll to the bottom of the window and click Send.
You will receive an on-screen indication that the message was sent successfully.
Navigate to the candidate's Messages tab in Thrive to verify the sent message. (Note: It may take a brief moment for the message to display within the messages section).
How to Export Candidates from LinkedIn to Thrive
You can also move candidates directly from LinkedIn into your Thrive CRM with just a few clicks:
Open LinkedIn Recruiter and run a search using your preset filters (e.g., job titles or specific companies).
As you scroll through the search results list, a visual indicator will show you whether a candidate is already in Thrive.
To export a new candidate, click the three dots icon next to their name and select Export to CRM.
Choose the specific Thrive project you want to assign them to.
Add an internal test note if desired, and click Export.
Reload the profile in LinkedIn Recruiter, navigate to the CRM tab, and link to the Thrive profile under the Profile section. You will see that location, education, and your custom note instantly carried over.
Note: There is a limit of two work experiences per candidate when exporting individuals to Thrive from LinkedIn.
Why This Feature Matters
No More Scraping Blocks: Because this is an official integration, your ability to migrate data from LinkedIn to Thrive is fully supported and will no longer be blocked by LinkedIn's anti-scraping efforts.
Centralized Activity Tracking: Within the CRM tab, you will be able to easily see a candidate's projects, any activity or outreach they have received in Thrive, their linked profile, tags, skills, and resumes.
FAQ
Do I need to turn this feature on?
No, the LinkedIn Recruiter tab will automatically appear on candidate profiles once the integration is enabled.
How do I know if the LinkedIn profile I am viewing in Thrive is up to date?
Thrive features a handy indicator at the top of the profile that keeps track of when the person last updated their profile. This gives you a clear warning if you need to fetch the latest information regarding recent changes to their experience or education.
Are my InMail messages synced to my Thrive projects?
Currently, you can send an InMail directly from Thrive. The automatic syncing of these public InMails to specific outreaches and projects is currently still in development. Once complete, this will save you a ton of time by eliminating the need to log outreaches manually!
Will LinkedIn block me for exporting too many candidates into Thrive?
No. This is an official integration, giving you the approved ability to migrate data from LinkedIn to Thrive without encountering potential anti-scraping blocks.
Is there a limit to how much experience history carries over?
Yes, there is currently a two-experience record limit when exporting a profile to Thrive.
Pro Tips and Best Practices
Check the Profile Indicator First: Always check the top indicator on the embedded profile to ensure you have the candidate's most recent work experience before evaluating them for a role.
Leverage AI Drafts: When sending an InMail, use the auto-populated AI message as a helpful starting point to speed up your outreach workflow and writer's block.
Hover for Quick Insights: When searching in LinkedIn Recruiter, you can hover over the Thrive indicator to quickly view a candidate's recent activity, or use the link to jump directly to their Thrive profile without losing your place in the search.

Ensure no browser or third-party extensions are blocking the embedded LinkedIn window (such as pop-up blockers, ad blockers, or privacy extensions).
Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then refresh the page and try again.
