Analysing Data

What correlates well with MTC scores? What would make a good predictor for next year?

Is it minutes played on TT Rock Stars? Is it Studio Speed? Soundcheck Scores?

To help with this analysis, we have a set of graphs on the MTC Hub > MTC Analysis tab, which appears once you've entered the first MTC result.

MTC vs Soundcheck

This graph shows that Soundcheck scores and MTC Scores are closely and positively correlated. The higher their last Soundcheck score, the higher their MTC score.

Takeaway: if your pupils are doing well on Soundcheck, they're likely to do well on the MTC.

MTC vs Studio Speed

This graph shows that Soundcheck scores and MTC Scores are negatively correlated. The longer they take to answer questions in Studio, the lower their MTC score. That makes sense, right?

Takeaway: those with a Studio Speed of 4s/q or faster, are more likely to score 23+ on the MTC.

MTC vs Minutes played

This graph shows that minutes played on TTRS and MTC Scores are positively correlated. The more time spent playing on TTRS (in any game mode) the better their MTC score.

Takeaway: pupils who practise more on TTRS are likely to perform better on the MTC.

What does your data show?
