Creating tree select properties, "tags"
Creating tree select properties, "tags"
Updated over 5 months ago

A tree select property is a type of data input field that allows users to choose values from a hierarchical tree structure. This structure enables the organization of items in a parent-child relationship, making it easier to navigate and select options from complex datasets. This is useful for categorizing information in a multi-level format, such as organizational charts, product categories, or geographical regions.

Creating parent tags

1. Go to the Properties page, and you will see Tags already available as an option.

3. To edit or create a new parent tag, simply click on "+ Add an option".

4. Enter name of the parent tree and hit enter or click anywhere inside the application.

5. You can then select the parent tag to adjust its color or visibility across your workspace as needed.

Creating child tags

Now, let's see how you can create child trees for the new parent.

1. Select the parent property type you've just created.

2. Select "+ Add an option" here.

3. Enter the name of the child property and hit enter.

4. That's it. You can now go ahead to create some more child trees from here.
