At Timon, we have always prioritised providing seamless and transparent services. Previously, we thoroughly covered the costs of declined transactions due to insufficient funds. However, starting Feb 1st, 2025, we will adjust this policy.
What’s Changing?
Timon will cover the costs for up to three declined transactions per calendar month. Beyond this limit, a small fee of $0.50 will be applied for each subsequent declined transaction.
How to Avoid Declined Transaction Fees
Maintain Sufficient Funds: Ensure your Timon card has enough balance to cover upcoming transactions, particularly for subscriptions.
Review and Cancel Unused Subscriptions: Assess your active subscriptions and cancel any services you no longer intend to continue.
Top Up Regularly: Regularly check your balance and add funds in advance to avoid interruptions. You’ll typically receive multiple notifications from us before being charged for a declined transaction. Be sure to top up your card when you receive a notification, ensuring you have enough funds for upcoming transactions.
Why the Change?
While we previously absorbed the costs of all declined transactions, this approach is no longer sustainable. By covering three monthly fees, we aim to balance supporting our customers and managing operational costs. This change also encourages responsible card usage and helps you avoid unnecessary fees.
