Your card PIN is an essential part of keeping your transactions secure. Whether you're viewing your current PIN or have just changed it, here’s everything you need to know to ensure your card works smoothly across all platforms.
How to View Your Card PIN
You can view your card PIN directly from the app by following these steps:
Tap on your card and select Card Options.
Choose "Card PIN" from the list.
Click on "View Card PIN".
Enter your 4-digit account PIN (the one you use to log in).
Once verified, your card PIN will be displayed securely.
What to Do After Changing Your Card PIN
If you've recently changed your card PIN through the app, follow these steps to avoid issues when using your card, especially on POS machines:
1. Use an ATM First
Before using your card at a POS machine or for in-store payments, insert it into an ATM and perform a balance inquiry or a small cash withdrawal.
This helps update your card's chip and ensures your new PIN works correctly across different platforms.
2. Using Your Card at a POS
If you're using your card at a POS machine shortly after changing your PIN, the terminal may not recognise the update immediately.
If you receive a "wrong PIN" message, you can enter the new PIN up to 4 times. This will exceed the system’s PIN counter and trigger a fallback process that forces the terminal to check the updated PIN directly online.
⚠️ Note: The transaction may still be processed after these attempts, but this approach could result in delays or confusion during checkout. Using an ATM first is the best way to avoid this.
