How to connect, set up and make the most from your tl;dv account with Zoom Phone.

Zoom Phone has joined the integration party at tl;dv 🎉 Now, you can:

  • upload your call recordings into tl;dv

  • get a transcript and the AI notes relevant to your calls!

💡 Please don't confuse this integration with recording Zoom meetings with tl;dv, which is a totally different feature. This guide only concerns the Zoom Phone integration!


To connect your Zoom Phone account to tl;dv, start with step by step instructions below:

1. Connect Zoom Phone Account

Now you can link your Zoom Phone account to tl;dv by going to the Integrations page and looking for the Zoom Phone integration section.

Click on the "Connect" button, give the required permissions, introduce the number you want to be covered by the integration, and complete the authorization steps. Now you should see your AirCall account is connected to your tl;dv account.

2. Select Configuration Settings

Right now, we only support one configuration option: “Upload Call Recordings to tl;dv"

More will come as we continue to improve on this integration!

3. Uploading your calls to tl;dv

Once the call is recorded we will receive it on our services, and the you should be able to check the upload process on the Uploads page.

⚠️ Please note that this can take a few minutes to hours, depending on the recording length. If there was an error with your upload, you will be notified in the interface. In case you still see the loading indicator, please be patient, your upload is processing.

When it is fully processed, you should see a green check icon ✅ on the upload entry.

The call recording is now visible in your library!

Some things to keep in mind:

  • After calls are recorded it takes up to 30 seconds for Zoom Phone to contact tl;dv and for the import to start, so there will be always a delay

  • tl;dv is currently unable to collect information on your callee or contact

    • tl;dv will still upload the call but it won’t have any details on your contacts, so we won’t be able to map any contacts on your CRM integrations

    • Your transcript and notes will show the speakers as “Speaker 1", “Speaker 2", etc.

  • You must enable the Call Recording option, otherwise the call won’t be recorded and thus not be uploaded to tl;dv

  • This is still in a beta stage so you might find some unexpected behaviors!

Troubleshooting

CRM wasn’t populated

At this initial stage of the Zoom Phone integration, we’re still not able to collect data on the contacts you’re holding your calls with, so we won’t be able to populate your CRM on the corresponding Deal, Contact or Sheet with the transcript and AI Notes ☹️

Error in the upload

In the unlikely event that your call is not successfully uploaded to tl;dv, and you have tried the previous troubleshooting steps, you can download the recording directly from Hubspot and upload it to tl;dv. Here’s an article on how to do it!

If this does happen, the contact details won’t match what you have on Zoom Phone, but you will be able to obtain a full transcript and notes.
