Answer
To ensure that the cash drawer opens every time a server receives a cash payment from a guest, you must configure the settings on your device:
On the main menu of the Toast app on your POS device, navigate to Device Setup.
Select Open cash drawer.
Select the Automatically open cash drawer when a cash payment is made option.
Employees will immediately deposit guest cash payments. This option will also assign all cash payments to the drawer selected for that device.
