Why am I seeing a Business Day Cutoff Error when setting up my online ordering delivery schedule?

Before performing the steps indicated below, ensure that the location that you're updating has a configured dining option & behavior for delivery. Learn more about setting up dining options here: Set Up Custom Dining Options.

You are trying to update Business Day Cutoff time, but get the error message - Online Ordering Schedule must not overlap Insert_Business_Day_Cutoff_Time. Please update OO Schedule hours. First-Party Delivery hours must be enabled to update.

Please use the steps below:

  1. In Toast Web, navigate to Takeout & delivery > Availability > Online Ordering, and then under the section Dining Options, select Delivery in the Delivery Option drop-down.

  2. Navigate to Takeout & delivery > Availability > Takeout/delivery then under the Delivery section select Enable delivery using your own delivery drivers.

  3. Now navigate to Takeout & delivery > Toast Online Ordering and select Delivery On.

  4. Navigate to Takeout & delivery > Online ordering hours and select the hours for First-party delivery. Make sure to toggle all days of the week from Open to Closed.

Note: Toggling off First-Party Delivery hours will enable you to update the Business Day Cutoff time. After updating the cutoff time, remember to revert the delivery settings to their original state.

To disable delivery again, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Takeout & delivery > Toast Online Ordering and select Delivery Off.

  2. Navigate to Takeout & delivery > Availability > Takeout/delivery, then under the Delivery section, select Disable delivery.
