Enable Dining Option on the POS

Answer

If you have created, saved, and published your dining option but do not see it on the POS, it is possible that the Show on POS checkbox has not been checked. If this is deselected, you will have active dining options available for things such as third-party delivery providers that are not accessible for your servers use on the POS.

To verify this setting and enable your dining option to appear on your POS:

  1. Navigate to Toast Web.

  2. Navigate to Kitchen > Dining options > Dining options.

  3. Locate the dining option you are missing on your POS screen within this list of dining options.

  4. In the Show on POS column, make sure you see a blue check mark. If you do not, select the box to enable the dining option to appear on your POS for staff usage.

  5. Save and Publish.

If your dining options aren’t appearing even though they’re selected, they may be set to a delivery only behavior. Try enabling Delivery to make these options visible. If you have verified this setting and are still having trouble, please contact Customer Care for further troubleshooting.
