It's important to remember that under credit card rules, surcharges can only be applied to credit card transactions, not debit cards. This is the most common reason for a missing surcharge.
If there are surcharges that aren't being added to all applicable credit card transactions, please follow these steps:
First, confirm if any of the noted transactions were truly credit or debit.
Check the type of cards that were used in the transaction(s) by following the process outlined in Identify Credit Card Transaction Type.
If the transaction was a debit card, surcharges do not apply.
If the transaction was a credit card and the surcharge didn't apply to the check, ensure that the credit card surcharging product is fully enabled and published correctly.
If all is enabled and published and the surcharge isn't applying, power cycle and resync your POS.
