Auto Close Delivery Configuration
If you want to auto close delivery orders, follow the steps below:
Log in to Toast Web and navigate to Takeout & Delivery > Availability > Takeout/delivery.
Scroll down to Driver Cash Management,and select Enable for the Auto Close Delivery Orders setting.
Save and publish your changes. Once enabled, delivery orders that are closed with a cash tender will close automatically.
Note: By default, the Auto Close Delivery Orders is set to Disable.
If auto close delivery is enabled, delivery orders with a balance due and no previous payments associated on the check will be closed upon delivery completion through an automatically applied cash payment for the entire balance due amount. The payment will be associated with the delivery driver’s account.
Sales Report for Auto Closed Delivery Orders
Restaurant managers can see which payments were created manually versus those that were automatically applied through the auto close delivery orders feature in the Sales Summary report.
In Toast Web navigate to the Reports > Sales > Sales summary.
Select your desired date range and location, if necessary.
Open the Source drop-down and select the following payment sources:
In Store - Payments made through a payment terminal.
Auto Delivery - Cash payments made through the auto close delivery orders.
API - Payment is entered via an API.
Online - Payment is entered via Toast Online Ordering.
To export the Sales Summary report, select the download (down arrow) icon in the top right corner of the page.
