Device Pro Tips Ingenico iCMP Card Reader

The Ingenico iCMP Reader...

  • ONLY connects through Bluetooth

  • Requires a charging cable to function 100%. This is done with the USB that comes with the reader.

  • Works while being charged

  • Can do up to 100 swipes per power charge (when removed from USB). However, this is not recommended.

  • Can not use this reader with another reader attached to the tablet

  • It is similar to a Bluetooth reader, as the EMV reader is free floating - but a stand is available for purchase.

  • Has a stand that includes a security cable, at no additional cost, to make sure the reader does not go anywhere and stays connected to the stand.

  • It is compatible with all terminals and handhelds (Samsung Tab 4, ELOs), except POSPADs.

Bonus Pro Tips

  • The Power On button and micro USB port are located along the right-hand side of the device

  • If the card reader is paired with a tablet, it will display Toast

  • If the card reader is not in use for more than 5 minutes, it will be in Standby Mode to conserve battery. It will display Ingenico and Beyond.

  • To wake the reader, lightly touch the Power Button on the side of the card reader

  • To restart the card reader, hold down the Power Button for a few seconds. Please note that holding down the Power Button will ONLY restart the card reader and will not power it off.
