Assign a Color for Employees to Identify Their Tables

Written by Agent Support Bot

Question

How do I assign colors for employees so they can identify their tables?

Answer

Note: Permission 1.17 Change Server is required to assign or change table numbers or servers. This permission must be assigned along with either Table Service or Quick Order mode. Employees with this permission can proceed without asking for a manager's help. These permissions should be added to the job level so every server assigned to this job in the future will have access to changing both the table and server if necessary.

Below are the steps on how to assign colors for the employees to identify their tables:

  1. Select the server assignment button.

  2. Assign servers to tables by selecting a server and then selecting tables.

  3. Once you select tables, the server’s initials in a colored badge will appear on the tables if there is space, and the tables will be outlined in the color corresponding to the server’s color swatch on their card.

  4. As tables are assigned, a count of the server’s total tables separated by service area will appear on their card.

  5. Select another server to start assigning tables for that server. You can also assign tables by selecting tables first and then choosing a server from the server pane.

    • Note: On a Toast Go®, a server must be chosen first.

  6. In the overflow menu of the server pane, you can reset the tables of the selected server if one is selected, or reset all server assignments.
