Set Up Vertex Caller ID on the Toast POS

Follow the steps below to set up Vertex Caller ID for your location:
On the Toast POS, navigate to the device menu, then Setup > Device Setup.
Scroll to Prompt for Incoming Phone Calls and select Yes.
Return to the Quick Order screen.
Vertex Caller ID Device Setup
Follow the steps below to set up the Vertex Call ID. Start off with the cable setup:
Cisco Meraki from Toast (or Toast network switch) - connect to the Management Port.
Toast hardware
Hardware from VoIP provider (or source of VoIP Traffic) - connect to Towards Gateway.
Vertex device
VoIP phone (or switch with VoIP phones) - connect To Phones.
Once cabled, all three amber lights on the front of the Vertex Caller ID should be steady on. Place a test call from a VoIP phone to ensure the phones work.
Disconnect the power from the Vertex. Then, move the dip switches on the back of the Vertex to the following positions:
Power on the Vertex. Within approximately 30-60 seconds, you will see this pop-up on the Quick Order screen. Select Ignore.
From one of the VoIP phones, dial 777-123-4567. You will then see the pop-up again. Select Ignore again.
Next, From any web browser (Toast POS terminal or personal device), navigate to Vertex Phone Setup Instructions (external link).
Scroll to the bottom of the page. Please ensure that the time zone is correct and that the Toast software format is entered.
From the same VoIP phone, call the number generated under Setup Number to be Dialed. You will see another pop-up on the screen. Select Ignore.
Disconnect power from the Vertex, move all dip switches to the down position, and then reconnect power.
Place a test call to the restaurant to confirm the information properly.
