Get Started With the Room Raccoon Integration

Room Raccoon Hotel Property Management System (PMS) supports automatically posting simple guest charges to their room by utilizing the guest

This integration requires a Hotel PMS Integration subscription, which can be purchased on Toast Shop.

Room Raccoon Integration Overview

Enhance your guest experience by integrating Toast with Room Raccoon, your Hotel Property Management System (PMS). This connection allows you to easily charge guest meals from your restaurant directly to their hotel room or folio, offering a seamless "room charge" payment option.

Enable Room Raccoon Integration With Toast

  1. To enable Room Raccoon with Toast, navigate to the Integrations section of Toast's back-end using the left-hand navigation menu. Then, select Browse & purchase integrations.

  2. Enter Room Raccoon in the Search field and select Add Now.

    1. Note: This Integration requires a Hotel PMS Integration subscription. Please work with your Toast Sales contact to subscribe to the Hotel PMS Integration product.

  3. Review the data scope visibility terms and conditions, and select Confirm. Select which location(s) will use this integration if you have multiple locations. Once selected, Confirm the addition of the Room Raccoon integration.

  4. Once confirmed, you'll receive an email confirmation from Toast confirming that the integration has been added to your restaurant(s).

  5. Once the integration has been successfully connected, please contact the Integrations Support team to request the creation of the “Room Charge” other payment option.

    1. Note: Other payment options and receipt setups are required to utilize this integration. For more information, select the links below:

Configure Room Raccoon in Toast Web

  1. Once you select Add Now on the Room Raccoon tile in Toast Web, you will select which restaurant(s) you would like to connect to your Room Raccoon account, and select Apply

  2. After you select Apply, you will be forwarded to a confirmation screen.

  3. After adding the integration tile in Toast Web, you will receive an email confirmation from Toast confirming the activation of the integration.

  4. Once you receive the said email, you should directly contact Omniboost support via email atintegrations@omniboost.io to finalize the integration and connect Toast to Room Raccoon. You must include the following information in their email to the Omniboost team:

    1. Restaurant name (as seen in Toast Web)

    2. Date you intend to go live with the Room Raccoon x Toast integration

    3. The following information is from your Room Raccoon environment:

      1. API Key

      2. Hotel ID

      3. Note: Omniboost’s team also receives an email alerting them that a new integration has been added for Toast. The Omniboost team will reach out directly to you within one to two business days, regardless of whether you first contact Omniboost.

    4. Once the integration tile is added and the Omniboost team has directly connected with you, full onboarding and setup vary depending on the provision of the above-noted Room Raccoon information, and your needs and responsiveness.

  5. After you add the Room Raccoon tile in Toast Web, the Toast Integrations Support team adds the "Room Charge" Other Payment Options for you.

    1. Note: This must be done BEFORE the final Room Raccoon mapping with Omniboost's team can begin.

Room Raccoon Integration: Toast Web Configuration Items

Unlike other Hotel PMS integrations, Room Raccoon only requires the following configuration items to be set up in Toast Web:

  • Other Payment Options

  • Receipt Setup

Other Payment Options

As we get your integration ready, our team will set up the following Opera Cloud Other Payment Options that are needed in your Opera Cloud system:

  • Room Charge: For Room Charge transactions when fully online

  • Room Charge-Offline: When in offline mode/during an outage, it provides a way for you to continue transactions for later processing and closing.

Receipt Setup

Changes to a location’s receipt setup allow hotel guests to provide their hotel room information directly on their receipt, so servers and restaurant administrators can update their hotel information. This information will most likely include the guest’s name, hotel room, and signature.

To set up receipts for hotel PMS integrations:

  1. Log in to Toast Web and navigate to Guests Receipt Setup.

  2. Select the receipt name.

  3. Scroll down to the Advanced setup section.

  4. Next to the Display Room Charge prompt on receipts, select Yesto add lines for a hotel guest's room number and name, to be printed on receipts.

  5. Select the blue Savebutton on the top right.

  6. Select Publish Now.

  7. Once this is done, receipts will now print with the room number line and the guest's last name, shown in the image below.

    1. If you wish to remove the room charge lines from their receipts, follow steps one to four above, then select No next to Display Room Charge prompt on receipts.

    2. Select Save and Publish Now.
