Payroll Notification Overview
Toast Payroll will proactively notify you when payroll is Overdue, Very Overdue, and Due Today, as well as for your First Payroll with Toast.
Payroll Is Overdue Notification
When you receive a payroll overdue notification, it means your payroll was not submitted with proper advance of your check date.
Payroll Is Very Overdue Notification
When you receive a very overdue notification, it means payroll has not been posted and is overdue. The check date is tomorrow.

If you're a first-time payroll processor, then the notification will go to Employee 0, the person who completed Toast Payroll onboarding.
A very overdue payroll notification is sent one business day before the check date (in instances where the check date is Monday, the very overdue notification would go out on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
Payroll Is Due Today Notification
The payroll is due today notification means your payroll should be processed as soon as possible to avoid delays in processing or direct deposits.
First Payroll Notification
On the morning of your first payroll due date after going live, you'll receive a notification if your payroll hasn't been posted. First payroll notifications will be sent to Employee 0, the person who completed Toast Payroll onboarding. The First Payroll notification is sent one business day before the payroll deadline at 6 a.m.
