Devices With Toast Launcher
Many customers will have devices with the Toast Launcher feature. If your device has Toast Launcher, follow these steps to adjust your time zone properly.
Exit the Toast app by selecting the home button.
On the Toast Launcher start page, access Toast Guardian by selecting the Help feature.
Select Manage devices with Toast Guardian. This will automatically adjust your time zone to the device's actual location.
Adjust the Timezone for Android 12 or Above Devices
If your device is on Android 12 or above, you will need to go into Toast Guardian to update your timezone. Toast Guardian is a specialized application for managing various device settings, including time zones, across all supported Toast POS devices. Follow these steps below to set up your device's time zone using Toast Guardian.
Note: If your access to the Toast Guardian app is restricted or blocked, ensure you have the necessary admin permissions or consult your IT administrator for assistance. To learn more, see Permissions Reference Guide.
Launch Toast Guardian. If you don't see it on your desktop, you can access Toast Guardian by swiping up from the home screen to open the App Library, then locating and selecting the Toast Guardian app. Make sure you are connected to the internet before proceeding.
In the top right-hand corner, select the overflow menu (⋮). Note: You do not need to select Install Toast App for this process.
Select Settings.
Under Select time zone, select your region from the list.
Next, select the Time zone field and choose from the list of time zones.
Once completed, the time zone should be set up correctly on your device. Now you can exit Toast Guardian. If the settings are grayed out or inaccessible, ensure that the device has been granted appropriate admin privileges or clear the app cache through Android settings before retrying.

Adjust the Timezone for Android 11 or Below Devices
If your device is running on a version older than Android 12, you may not have access to Toast Guardian, and can follow these steps instead to set up your device's time zone:
Exit the Toast app by selecting the circle icon at the bottom of your screen.
Select the Settingsicon to open your device settings.
Navigate to System > Date & time.
Select NTP Servers.
Select REFRESH in the top-right corner of your screen.
Your device should automatically update with the time and date of the network it's connected to. Note that these settings are device-specific, requiring individual updates on each device. Changes on one device do not propagate to others. Note: If you notice the times for your orders and time entries are incorrect (off by a set number of hours), you'll need to contact Customer Care to adjust your restaurant's time zone settings to match the correct time zone for your location. Additionally, discrepancies between the time zones of Toast POS and payroll systems may require manual adjustments to recorded entries for accurate record-keeping.
