Can I prompt a server to select a service area?
Answer
No, you cannot prompt servers to choose a service area when taking an order on the POS.
In Table Service mode, if you have multiple service areas configured for your restaurant, you'll see them listed at the top of the Table Service screen:
Servers will need to select a different service area in order to view the table layout and select the table where they'd like to start an order.
You can change the default service area for a terminal or handheld by navigating to Setup > Device Setup on the main menu of the Toast app and selecting an option for the Primary Service Area setting.
