"User Not Active in Any Restaurant" Error

Why is my employee receiving the error "Your user is not active in any restaurant. Please contact your restaurant admin or Toast support" when they try to create their account?

Answer

This error occurs when a phone number being entered is attached to another employee profile which is archived. In this case, you'll need to contact Toast Customer Care so they can remove the phone number attachment to the archived profile and allow the employee to use that phone number on their current profile.
