Activate your event and learn about the usages of event QR

What is this QR code used for?

Using QR codes create a smooth and easy experience to using certain functionalities that require web and app interaction between each other. Each event has its own unique QR code, and this QR code must be used for both event activation and closing. A strong internet connection is required to activate the event and download all required settings.

The purpose of this event QR code is:

  • Event activation: Whether to activate it with an active subscription, or joining the event from the app as a test.

  • Activate a sharing station: Use another device, such as an iPad, to create a station for media sharing.

  • App protection: Protect the app settings from unwanted changes with a passcode or using the event's QR code.

Location

When you create an event, a QR code is generated automatically for it, and it's unique for each event you create.

After you create an event, you can find the QR code in the event manager, or following the next steps:

  1. Log in to your Touchpix account.

  2. Click 'My Account' > Events.

  3. Find the event which you want to display its QR code

  4. Under 'QR Code', click in the icon

How to activate an event

With QR code

Touchpix events can only be activated from Touchpix app, installed on a compatible platform. This process can only be done from the landing screen, meaning that any other event must be exited or closed to access the QR scanner button.

  1. Open your Touchpix app

  2. Exit or close any active event in the app

  3. Once in the landing screen, tap on "scan event QR code"

  4. Select Activate to start the event (requires a subscription). Check this article for more information about event status.

  5. Scan the event QR code or load from the gallery a screenshot of this QR code

  6. The settings will start downloading and your event will be activated

Without QR code (login method)

Touchpix also allows you to log in with your account into the app to retrieve all your events.

  1. On the landing screen, tap on "login"

  2. Enter your email address and password

  3. You will now be logged into your account and all your events will appear

  4. Tap on any event to load it and activate it in your device

Keynotes

  • An internet connection is required to activate an event, and it must be strong and stable

  • Events can only be activated with a running subscription

  • Test mode has a "demo" watermark, and does not allow video sharing or AI functions

  • If your device does not react when reading the QR code, try reading the QR code from a different screen. Sometimes pixel definition and screen refresh rate make a difference.

  • Scanner, camera apps, Google Lens, or similar, will not activate the event and will redirect to an error or browser. Only Touchpix app must be used to scan a QR code

  • An event will remain active, regardless of having an active subscription or not. However, if the event is active, but you don't have a subscription, the event will request for one and cannot be interacted with.
