Open the desired MS Project
Click File
Select Export
Click Save Project as File
Click Save
Enter a name for the project in the Project Name section
Select Save
Click Next
Choose Selected Data
Select Save
11. To create a new MS Project template, click New Map
12. Select Next
13. Under Select the data you want to export, select Tasks
14. Under Microsoft Excel options, select Export with Headers
15. Click Next
16. Leave the Destination worksheet name as Task_Table1
17. Enter the columns that are required for the file to be imported. The following columns are required:
Unique ID, Status, WBS, Name, Scheduled Duration, Actual Duration, Remaining Duration, Scheduled Start, Scheduled Finish, Actual Start, Actual Finish, Start, Finish, Unique ID Predecessor, and Unique ID Successors.
18. Optional: To add a date filter to an export file select the Export Filter drop down menu and select Date Range. The Date Range window selection will pop up at the end of the Export.

19. Enter a Map Name
20. Click Save
21. Select Finish
