Recommendation: For a cleaner export to MS Project, we recommend ensuring master schedule tickets in Touchplan are connected with logic ties. Users can manually add logic ties by following the steps here or they can import the activities with logic ties included from MS Project’s critical path (import steps can be found here)

  1. Click on a Plan within a project, then select ‘Reports’ on the left-hand side of the plan

  2. Select Export Tickets from the ‘Report Type’ drop-down list

  3. Choose the MS Project Excel from the ‘Export Format’ drop-down list

  4. Select the Duration Type

Duration (d) = measures working time based on the project calendar (excluding weekends/holidays)

Elapsed Duration (ed) = measures continuous calendar time, including non-working days

  5. Set the desired date range for the file and apply the filters you would like

  6. Select Run Report

  7. Click Download

Note: Any Touchplan tickets that share an External Schedule ID with a ticket in MS Project will replace the MS Project ticket when the schedule is imported into MS Project.
