Before You Start
Create a P6 Excel Data Source in your Touchplan project.
Move the Active Line in your plan to the desired end date of the import.
Note: Touchplan allows for a maximum of 4,000 rows of data to be imported at one time. You can filter the date range in Touchplan prior to importing the file.
Step 1: Select Your Data Source
In Touchplan, start the ticket import and select the P6 Excel Data Source associated with your project. You'll then define the parameters for your import.
Step 2: Review Errors and Warnings
After uploading the file, Touchplan will check the P6 file for any errors or warnings. Review these messages before continuing with the import.
Step 3: Choose Where to Add the Tickets
Select where the imported tickets should be inserted into your plan by choosing the appropriate insertion point.
Step 4: Update Matching Tickets
This step will only appear when multiple tickets have the same External Schedule ID.
Step 5: Add Variance Reasons to Completed Tickets
You will only be prompted to go through Step 5 if a ticket from Step 4 was pinned in Touchplan.
