Multi-Round Series

Updated over 4 months ago

A Multi-Round Series is a collection of rounds to:

  1. Roll up points in certain rounds in League play.

  2. Create a Round Robin Schedule in specific rounds.

  3. Create a Multi-Round Tournament in League play.

In this article, we will discuss how to create a Multi-Round Series and apply the series to one of the three methods above.

How to Create a Multi-Round Series:

To create a Multi-Round Series:

  1. Go to League > Multi-Round Series > Add New Series.

  2. Name the series, and click Next.

  3. Select the rounds to be included in this series and click "Save."

Using a Multi-Round Series to roll up points:

Sometimes in league play, points for the season are separated by series. For instance, there may be a Winter series and Summer series. All the Winter Series points are rolled up to determine Winter Series standings. The same goes for the Summer Series.

After creating the Multi-Round Series to accomplish this, go to the portal and add the Player League Standings or Team League Standings portal page. You can then filter the points by series.

You can also create a customized Player League Standings or Customized Team League Standings portal page using a Multi-Round Series.

Using a Multi-Round Series to create a Round Robin Schedule:

In Round Robin Leagues, sometimes you do not want to create a Round Robin schedule for all the rounds in the league. Maybe you only want to create a Round Robin Schedule for the 1st half of the season. For Member-Guest Invitationals, perhaps you need to exclude a practice round from the Round Robin Schedule. If so, a series needs to be created, excluding the rounds that should not be used in the Round Robin Schedule.

After creating the Multi-Round Series, go to the Round Robin Schedule and select the Multi-Round Series to be used.

Using a Multi-Round Series to create a Multi-Round Tournament:

In most cases, you do not need to create a series if creating a Multi-Round Tournament. You can simply select the rounds at the top of the setup page when setting up the tournament. However, sometimes there are many rounds in the league, making it too cumbersome to list them on the setup page. So you will be asked to select a Multi-Round Series for the Multi-Round Tournament.

If selecting a Multi-Round Series here, all of the rounds within the series will be used for the tournament.
