Host Venue Approval WHS Region Requirements
To submit a Host Venue Approval, you must have WHS credentials for that region (England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales, or New Zealand). Most Counties and Associations will only have WHS Credentials for one region. However, some customers, such as tour operators, run events in multiple regions and can request Host Venue Approvals and submit scores within multiple regions.
If you can request Host Venue Approval in multiple regions, the region must be set in your Default Settings before submitting a Host Venue Approval. To check or change your current WHS region, follow these directions:
From the Customer Center, navigate to, Customer Settings > Default Settings > Handicap Settings > WHS Credentials (as shown below).
βSet the Country, if necessary, to the WHS Region you are requesting Host Venue Approval.
No changes need to be made to the Username or Secret Key fields.
Click "Save" to apply the settings.
Follow the instructions below to submit Host Venue Approval. Note: If you selected a WHS Credentials Country that you do not have credentials for when requesting Host Venue Approval as outlined below, the course list would be blank.
Submitting Host Venue Approval
To submit host venue approval, follow these directions:
Within an event or league, go to League/Event > Course Details > Request Host Venue Approval.
Select the Club you are requesting Venue Approval from.
Select the rounds you will be playing at that club (as shown below).
Click "Submit."
To check the status of the host venue approval request, visit the Event/League Dashboard to view the Host Venue Approvals time, or go to Event/League > Course Details (as shown below).
Posting Scores when using Host Venue Approval
When posting scores for an event that required Host Venue Approval, ensure the country associated with the WHS credentials matches the host venue's location. For example: you requested Host Venue Approval for a course in Wales, then changed the WHS credentials country to Ireland for a different event. To post the scores for the Welsh event, you must change the WHS credentials country back to Wales. Failure to align the WHS credentials country with the host venue will prevent the scores from being posted.
