Importing and Managing Courses from the WHS Database

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is only available with the following products:

Rather than entering course details manually, WHS users can import golf course details (e.g., par, yardage, etc) from the WHS course database. The WHS course database contains important course information for all golf courses in the WHS database. It's important that the courses contained in your Course Details are imported from the WHS for the following reasons:

  • Required for hole-by-hole score posting

  • Ability to Post General Player Scores on the Club App (If Applicable)

  • To allow scores to be used for Playing Condition Calculations (PCC)

  • To allow scores to be used for playing statistics

In this article, we will discuss how to import courses from the WHS and edit the courses.

Refreshing Courses Imported from the WHS:

After importing a course from the WHS, you can also refresh the course (if necessary) in the Course Details. This is necessary in cases where WHS has updated a course in its database. In order for the changes to be reflected in our system, the data must be refreshed. To do this, go to edit the course details and select "Refresh Data From WHS" (as shown below). Note: When using the refresh data from WHS button, the current course will be archived (with archival date) and the updated course will the primary course in Course Details.
