How can I exclude guests from season point standings?

This feature is available for the following products:

Q: We allow our members to earn season points for a member-guest event. However, we do not want guests earning points and being included on the season point standings. Is there a way to exclude guests from the season points standings?

A: You can do this by following the steps as shown below:

  1. Create a custom field (if you haven't already) that defines each player as a member or guest.

  2. Enter the custom field answers for your players in the roster.

  3. Go to the Customer Center > Season Management > Season Points. Select the season points category that will be used for the member-guest event (or create a new season points category).

  4. In the "Player Eligibility" section, select "Other Custom Field", the custom field to be used, and the allowable answer(s) to that custom field.


    In the example above, only players with the answer "Member" for the "Member or Guest" custom field can earn points when this point category is used for an event.

  5. Go to the tournament setup for the member-guest event and select the point category that uses the custom field.

    Save the tournament. Once the event is finished, the points in that tournament will go towards the season standings, excluding the guest points.
