βQ: I need to find the Handicap Indexes for some guests in an upcoming event, but I don't have their GHIN/WHS Number. They are all members of GHIN/WHS Clubs. How can I do this?
β
A: If they are not already entered into the event/league roster, do this first by going to Golfers > Manually add Golfers to the Roster, then follow the instruction below. If the player is already entered into the event/league roster, follow these instructions:
Go to Golfers > Event/League Roster.
Select the player's name to access their Player Profile.
Select the "H.I. Summary" tab.
Click "GHIN/WHS Lookup."
Set the following:
State: The state where the player maintains their GHIN/WHS Number.
Last Name: The last name of the player.
First Name: The first name of the player. (Note: You may need to generalize the name to find the individual in GHIN/WHS. For example, if a player's name in your roster is Penny Lynch, but in GHIN, they are Penelope Lynch, nothing will be returned in the search results. Try removing the first name or leaving the first letter of the first name and searching again.)
Click "Search" to find the player in the GHIN/WHS Database.
"Select" the proper player from the database if there are multiple players with the same name.
Their updated Handicap Index will now show on the "H.I. Summary" tab.
Press "Save."
After finding and selecting the player from the database, their Handicap Index will now be updated for the event (as shown below).
Note: This same sequence would be used for WHS.
