Every player has information contained in their player profile where you can view and edit information as needed. You can access the profile for a player in two different areas:
Master Roster Player Profile: Access the player profile for players in your Master Roster. These changes will propagate to future events and leagues (if importing players from the Master Roster or using Event Registration). To access a Master Roster player profile, go to Customer Center > Master Roster > View Master Roster and click on the player.
Event/League Player Profile: Access the player profile for players in a specific event/league. These changes will only affect the specific event/league. To access an event/league player profile, go to Golfers > Event Roster and click on the player.
When selecting a player's profile, the information will be separated into sections (as shown below).
Some sections are only contained in the Master Roster (and not the event/league roster). Other sections are only available if you are using certain features. In this article, we will discuss the information contained in these sections.
Profile:
The Profile section contains general player information for the player (as shown below).
The following information is contained:
First Name
Last Name
Handle: The name given to the player which will appear on the tee sheet, leaderboard, as well as the player roster, and many other areas.
Gender: Used to manage default tees, creating divisions, and creating flights.
Photo: Upload a profile photo to be visible on the player profile and the Player Page on the Portal. For details on bulk upload player profile photos, Click Here.
Email: The current email address for the player.
Date of Birth: Sometimes used to create divisions and flights.
Handicap Service ID/#: If updating Handicap Indexes using your handicap service provider, the player's handicap service ID/# is needed.
Tee: This field identifies the tee that the player is playing from for an event or league. We suggest only using this field in cases where the tee is specific to an event/league. If the tee is used by the player for all events/leagues, use Default Tees instead. For more details abDefault Teesout using the Tee custom field, Click Here.
Affiliation: A player's affiliation is typically home club or home town. It can be displayed next to each player's name on the tee sheet and leaderboard.
Verified Member (TM Association Only): If using Master Roster Registration, and allowing members to register without a GHIN number (unverified), you can mark them as verified manually.
Registration:
The registration section contains the following fields typically used for event registration purposes (as shown below).
Fields include:
Entry Number: The number assigned to the player that displays the order in which he/she was added to the event/league.
Team ID: When a player registers a team using Event Registration, players are assigned a Team ID. This sometimes need to be changed if a player changes teams during the registration period.
Riding/Walking/Caddie: During the registration process, players may be allowed to select if they are riding, walking, or using a caddie. This is needed in cases where cart signs need to be printed for riders only, and tee sheets (and other reports) need to be printed with this information.
Member or Guest: For team events, this field defines whether the player is a member or guest. This is sometimes needed to create reports like bag labels and locker signs (where only guests need bag labels and locker signs).
Pro or Amateur: For competitions where both professionals and amateurs compete, you can define them as pro or amateur on the leaderboard and other reports.
Membership Program Subscription (TM Association Only): If offering Membership Programs to members on your Master Roster, you can view the player's subscription details and change their renewal date (if permitted in the Membership Program setup).
H.I. Summary:
The section displays the Handicap Index for the player (as shown below).
You can view and change the current Handicap Index for the player. If changing in the Master Roster, it will only propagate to future events/leagues if forced by the Manager. Click Here for instructions.
GHIN users can also look up the current player Handicap Index in the GHIN database by clicking "GHIN Lookup" and searching for the player.
If viewing this section in an event/league roster, you can also change the Handicap Index of past rounds. This is often done in cases where a Handicap Index for a past round was incorrect and needs to be changed.
