How can I determine if a player has a GHIN/WHS ID Number?

Updated over 4 months ago

Q: I have a player on my roster that I need to find and add their GHIN/WHS ID Number to their profile. How can I do that?

A: You can do this using the GHIN/WHS Lookup feature in a member's profile.

Note: The player's name must match exactly what's in GHIN/WHS. If your search does not turn up any results, edit or remove the first name from the search and try again. For example, if you search a player Mike Gross, but in GHIN, his name is Michael Gross, no results may show. Remove the first name Mike, search again, and you will get results.

To search for a player GHIN/WHS ID, follow these instructions:

  1. If the player is in the Master Roster, go to Master Roster > View Master Roster.

  2. If the player is in the Event/League Roster, go to Golfers > Event/League Roster.

  3. Find and select the player's name to access their Player Profile.

  4. Select the "H.I. Summary" tab.

  5. Click "GHIN/WHS Lookup"

  6. Click "Search" to find the player in the GHIN/WHS Database.

  7. "Select" the proper player from the database if multiple players have the same name.

  8. Their GHIN/WHS ID Number will now show in the Profile Tab, and the Handicap Index will now show on the "H.I. Summary" tab.

  9. Press "Save."

Note: This same sequence is used for WHS.
