Each Event/League has its own roster. Having a specific roster for each event/league is very beneficial in that you can have multiple leagues or events with unique rosters. The players in the event/league may or may not be on your Master Roster as well. You can also have players from the master roster on multiple event/league rosters.

Adding Player to an Event/League Roster
There are various methods of adding players to your event or league. If you would prefer to watch a short instructional video, Click Here.
Some methods are available to specific customers, discussed later in this article. The particular customers are:

Players can be added to the event/league roster using the following methods:
Event and League Registration: Players can sign up online through the event or league portal when using this option. After registering for an event or league, the players will automatically be placed on the player roster, and you can monitor sign-ups and waitlists under the Golfers Menu. Import Golfers from Master Roster: If you have a master roster uploaded, you can quickly add players from the master roster into a specific event or league by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. Click Here for details on this option. (Note: This option is also available in Quick Event Setup.)
Import Golfers from Other Leagues or Events: This option is also found by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. Maybe you have a past event that will have all or most of the same players. You can select the league/event, then choose the players from there. Click Here for more details on this option.
Upload Roster From Spreadsheet: You can find this option by going to Golfers > Upload Roster from Spreadsheet. If you have a spreadsheet of your players and their information, you can quickly upload players into the league or event roster. Click Here for more information. (Note: This option is also available in Quick Event Setup.)
Manually Adding Players to Roster: To type in players and their information one-by-one, go to Golfers > Manually Add Players to Roster. Click Here for details. (Note: This option is also available in Quick Event Setup.)
Import Golfers from My GHIN Roster (GHIN Customers Only): This can be done by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. Adding members from your GHIN roster can quickly be done using this option. Search by Name or GHIN #. Click Here for more details on this option.
Import Golfers from All GHIN: This can be done by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. Similar to the last option, but this allows you to search the entire GHIN database for players. Click Here for more details on this option.
Import Golfers from My WHS Roster (WHS Customers Only): This can be done by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. Adding members from your WHS roster can quickly be done using this option. Search by Name or Membership Number. Click Here for more details on this option.
Import Golfers from All WHS: This can be done by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. This is similar to the last option, but this allows you to search the entire WHS database for players. Click Here for more details on this option.
Import Golfers from HandicapMaster (HandicapMaster Customers Only): Similar to the WHS option above, this can be done by going to Golfers > Import Golfers from Master Roster/Other. You can search by club & name or National Player ID. Whenever you need to add a guest to a league or event roster, you can search the player here if he/she is a member of another HandicapMaster club.
Event Roster Sync (Clubessential Customers Only): One of the integration features we have with Clubessential is the Event Roster Sync. If using Clubessential's online event registration, you sync the event roster from Clubessential to an Event or League roster in our system. If you are a Clubessential customer and are interested in enabling this option, contact support. Click Here for more details.
Viewing the Event Roster:
After loading your event/league roster, you can view it by going to Golfers > Event/League Roster (as shown below). You can view and edit each golfer's Player Profile by clicking on their handle.

Once on the roster, you will have several options on the menu to help manage your players:
Fields: You can change what information is displayed on the event/league roster summary by clicking on "Fields." Select the fields to be displayed. Click and drag the elevator bars to re-organize them as well (as shown below).
Handle Format: You can also change how the Handle is formatted by clicking "Handle Format."
Import Golfers: This button takes you to the import golfers option (e.g., Master Roster, Other Leagues or Events, All GHIN/WHS). These import options were discussed earlier in this article.
Upload Spreadsheet: This allows you to upload a new or updated roster via spreadsheet. This will be discussed later in this article.
Download Spreadsheet: This allows you to download the roster via spreadsheet.
Roster Report: The Roster Report allow you to download the roster to a PDF or DOC. This export will contain basic player information (e.g., Handle, Entry #, Handicap Index, Handicap Service Provider #) (as shown below).
Updating the Event Roster:
If you need to update some information in the event/league roster, you can:
Update Individually: Go to Golfers > Event/League Roster. Click on the player and edit the necessary information.
Update Via Spreadsheet: Download the current roster onto a spreadsheet, make the changes in that spreadsheet, and upload it back to our system. Click Here for more details (Note: Players cannot be removed from a roster via spreadsheet, they must be removed manually, as noted below).
Removing Players: If you would like to remove a player, go to Golfers > Event/League Roster, click the Action drop-down, and you will be able to delete that player from the roster.
If you cannot update Handicap Indexes automatically, you can update Handicap Indexes via spreadsheet by going to Golfers > Update Handicaps from Spreadsheet. All you need is a column with the updated Handicap Index and a column that uniquely identifies the player (member number, etc.). Click Here for details.
Deleted Players on Event Roster:
If you delete a player from your roster, they will be show on the roster as a deleted player with a red dot next to their name (as shown below).
