Slick Reports

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is available for the following product:

Available when creating wave pairings, the "Slicks" report has been developed for the USGA Championships Team, which fits the needs of Championship golf. This two-page version of the traditional Tee Sheet/Alpha combined report offers information about the tee times, pairings for Multi-Round Stroke Play competitions, designation (i.e., Pro/Amateur) as well as previous round scores when printed in subsequent rounds.

There are two flavors to this report, and examples of both can be seen here. The version above supports up to 156 players, while the version below supports up to 312 players. This report is limited to rounds with pairings created using the Wave Pairings tool.

To run a Slicks report, go to Round > Report Center and search "Slicks." Hover your mouse over the report and click "Configure." There are various options that you will need to define:

  • Field size: As previously outlined, there are two options for a slick report:

    • Regular: Designer for smaller fields, typically up to 156 Players. In this layout, pairings are displayed on the top ⅔ on both pages of the report, and the alpha list will occupy the bottom ⅓ (as shown below).

    • Large: Designer for larger fields, up to 312 players. In this layout, page 1 will have the alpha list on the left-hand side of the report, occupying ⅔ of the width, and 1 or 2 waves will occupy the remaining ⅓ on the right-hand side. Page 2 will contain the rest of the waves (as shown below)

  • Round: Select a round part of the wave schedule. Selecting to print the report for the first round or the second round of a Wave Schedule will affect the information included in the report. The report will contain round 1 and round 2 starting times if the Slick is printed for the first round. Otherwise, if the report is printed for the second round, only the round 2 times will be included.

  • Tournament: Available for individual gross stroke play and four-ball gross stroke play from single round or multi-round tournaments.

  • Additional Fields: Allows managers to add additional information to the Slicks Report. This section contains the following option:

    • Include Custom Field: Select a custom field to include in the report (e.g., Graduation Year, Country, etc.). Checking this option will add the selected custom field's answer in a new column next to the player's data, as seen in the figure below. Note: The custom field answers will be truncated if they exceed six characters. The limit is necessary to ensure that all the data has enough room and the document is organized.

    • Include Previous Round Score: Select whether you want to include the score from the previous round in the report and the score type (To Par or Total Strokes).
