Scorecard Composer - Additional Info and Tees tab

Updated over 4 months ago

In this article, we will discuss how to use the "Additional Info and Tees" tab when designing scorecards (as shown below). For a general overview of printing scorecards along with links to articles discussing other tabs, Click Here.

Add Scorecard Row:

You can add scoring rows to the scorecard by following these instructions:

  1. Click "Add Scorecard Row"

  2. Enter any optional text to name the new row

  3. Click and drag the row to the desired location of the scorecard.

The sequence below shows the process of adding a new "Match Status" row for a Match Play scorecard.

You can also enter text in any of the cells of the new row. In the sequence below, a Lone Ranger tournament scorecard is being created. The new row will display who the lone ranger is for each hole by the lone ranger's pairing group position.

Merging Cells in an Add Scorecard Row:

You can also merge the cells and enter the text within the merged cells. To merge:

  1. Click the first cell

  2. Click and hold "Shift"

  3. Click the last cell.

You can also change the font size, font type, and font color in the Fonts and Colors tab.

In the example below, the formats of play for a 666 tournament are being entered.

Deleting Added Scorecard Row(s):

You can also remove the added scorecard rows if they are no longer needed. To remove the added scorecard rows, in the design window, click the red "X" for the row you wish to remove (as shown below).

Note: If a row does not have a red "X" it cannot be removed.

Add Out & In Row:

You can add a new row that includes two cells for the total front 9 and back 9 score (as shown below). This option helps the two scores stand out on the scorecard.

Add Out, In & Total Row:

Similar to the "Add Out & In Row" option (above), you can add a new row that includes three cells for the front 9, back 9, and total score.

Include Slashes:

Sometimes scorecards need to be "slashed" to allow players to either enter a gross and net score in a single cell or enter the gross score and Stableford score. When selecting this option, all score cells will be slashed (as shown below).

Highlight Starting Hole:

If starting holes have been assigned within the pairings, you can have them highlighted on each scorecard (as shown below) to ensure players start entering scores on the correct hole. You can also change the highlighting color.

Print Blinds on Card:

If blinds are being used in the pairings, you can display them on the scorecards. When displayed, the blind's name will appear in brackets (as shown below).

However, if you have enable the options to not show blinds on the leaderboard the space will not display the blind's name.

Include Pace of Play on Scorecard:

Include an additional row that will display the pace of play (time par). Players can make sure they are on pace to finish the round on time.

The time indicated on each hole is the estimated time that they should have completed each hole. For instance, the group in the scorecard above should have completed the 10th Hole by 11:02 AM. The pace of Play parameters must first be entered in Maintain Course Details. For more details on this, Click Here.

Include Pace of Play on Marker's Notes:

Similar to the pace of play for scorecards, this adds a pace of play to the marker's note (as shown below).

For more details on this, Click Here.

Include Column for Initials:

When printing an 18-hole scorecard, a new column will be added before the "10th hole" column.

Include Initials:

Directly related to the previous option, this option will automatically insert each player's initials into that column. When players fold their scorecards, they can easily identify each player's row without flipping the scorecard back and forth.

Show Tee Abbreviations:

This option allows you to define if the tee abbreviations, next to the player's name, will show for all players or will not show for any player.

Add Ringer Score Line:

This option will be available if a Ringer tournament is selected. A new row will be created with the player's current hole-by-hole ringer scores. This option can only be used when printing one player per scorecard.

Show player data on markers notes:

When selecting this option, the marker's names and handicap strokes (if any) will be displayed in this area. This option is only available when all players are listed on the scorecard and you are printing two players per scorecard. Click Here for more details on player data and marker notes.

Printing Tee Information:

By default, the option to "Print tees played by golfers in pairing group" will be selected. If multiple tees are being played in the round, each scorecard will include only the tees being played by the players listed on that scorecard.

If you would like a fixed set of tee(s) displayed on every scorecard, select the desired tee(s).

You can re-order the tees on the scorecard by clicking and dragging the elevator bars on the canvas (as shown below).
