Leaderboard Affiliation Enhancement
______________________________________________

Showing additional information under a player or team name has been part of the Tournament Management product for many years. When running a College Scoring event, the additional information you want to display under a player is usually the team name. However, this would also show under the team name and create an unsightly double team name on the leaderboard.

We have now added the ability to define the additional information at the Tournament-level. So, on the College Scoring leaderboards below, we have the team name on the team leaderboard and the player names with their team name underneath on the individual leaderboard.

September 14th, 2022

We are excited for our newest release of Golf Genius Golf Hub, a powerful set of marketing automation capabilities at no cost to all Golf Genius TM Club and TM Club Premium customers.

  • Optionally enable online registration and payments as needed on each Golf Hub Page.

  • Automatically create aggregated pages ("Hubs") to showcase the playing and learning opportunities at your facility.

  • Embed these Hubs into your club website, email campaigns, and social media posts to amplify your promotional efforts and drive increased participation.

Custom Hubs
________________________________________

Within the Customer Center, the My Golf Hub section has been redesigned to allow for the creation of Custom Hubs. In addition to the system default Hubs, users can now create Custom Hubs which can be filtered by Event Type, Gender and Age.

Page Scope and Tags
________________________________________

When publishing a Golf Hub Page, there are additional options allowing further control of where the page will be accessible.

  • Include in my hubs - allows Golf Hub Page to be in system default Hubs and used in Custom Hubs

  • Include in public hubs - allows Golf Hub Page to appear in Hubs created and promoted by authorized aggregators (such as Allied Golf Associations)

Adding tags to a Golf Hub Page is a way of labeling the page with specific attributes. These attributes can aid in creating Custom Hubs and include:

  • Gender - Male / Female

  • Age - Junior / Adult / Senior

Shuffle Players on Waitlist or Pending List
______________________________________________

With the recent surge in the popularity of golf, many clubs are finding their events filling up very quickly and becoming oversold. One solution clubs are taking, rather than a first-come-first-served approach, is randomly choosing which players or teams can participate in the event.

To aid managers wishing to randomize the entry list, we have added the ability to shuffle the list of players or teams on the Waitlist or Pending List. Once shuffled, this new order is used to promote players or teams from the Waitlist or the Pending List.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Divisions / Flights on Portal Tee Sheet
______________________________________________

The Tee Sheet page on the Portal is where players can find their tee time and other relevant information. To this end, a player's Division and Flight are now available to display on the Tee Sheet page.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Email and Text Message Spell Checker
______________________________________________

An often requested feature is the ability to have spell-checking capabilities inside Email and Text Message text editors. The built-in spell checker for your browser will now function inside the text editors for Emails and Text Messages. On a Windows machine, hold Ctrl + right-click to activate the dropdown (Cmd + right-click on a Mac).

Automated GHIN Handicap Index Updates
______________________________________________

For customers using GHIN, the only option for keeping Handicap Indexes up to date was to manually update. With today's release, we are now offering better control over when Handicaps should be refreshed and which Handicap Index should be fetched from GHIN.

Choose to update on a specific day of the week for your leagues, before each round, or a few days before the first round of an event. Utilizing this option will ensure Handicap Indexes are always updated for your events and leagues.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Enable Open Tee Times Rounds in Bulk
______________________________________________

This new feature expedites the task of setting up multiple rounds to use Open Tee Times. Now, managers can enable or disable the Open Tee Times function for any number of rounds within an event or league. Simply check off the rounds to use, then choose the option from the dropdown, and click Go!

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Add New Printing Levels in Reports
______________________________________________

Previously, managers only had the option to add a new content area at the bottom of the last level of a report and to remove only the last level of a report.

With this enhancement, you can now add a new printing level anywhere within the print levels of a report, so long as there exists a valid relationship between the levels. Managers can also now remove any level (as long as the structure remains valid), and change any level. This makes editing reports to match your individual needs much easier and will reduce the time spent rebuilding reports.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Add Tournament to Selected Rounds
______________________________________________

With this enhancement, we are introducing the ability to automatically include a round tournament in specific rounds. The option to include in All Future Rounds has been available for many years, but now you can control which rounds the tournament will be included in.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

Digital Scorecards Enhancements
______________________________________________

Many customers use GGID-based live scoring through the mobile app where one player enters scores on behalf of the entire group. In 2020, we introduced Digital Scorecards as a paperless solution for the traditional marker-based scorecards in serious competitions.

In the initial 2020 design, the end-of-round summary was one page for the Marker Certification and a second page for Player Certification. Using the feedback we received from customers and players, we have redesigned this area into a single page with a simple interface (seen below). It is now very clear to the player that they need to check the two boxes to complete certification.

Once the player has certified both as a Marker and as a Player, we prompt them to indicate they have finished certifying scores and can now view the leaderboard. This simplified and streamlined flow will now allow players to quickly certify scores at the end of the round.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article or check out the updated Digital Scorecards - Player Instructions video.

Image & Logo Organization
______________________________________________

This feature is the first part of several enhancements around organizing the Logos, Banners, and Backgrounds within an account. The feature launched today addresses the naming and searching capabilities, while the organization into folders will come in a subsequent release.

Images will inherit their initial title from the filename when uploaded, which you can change before uploading or at a later time. Once images have a title, managers can search for previously uploaded images, which is especially important for accounts that have many logos, banners, and backgrounds.

For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

February 17, 2022

We are excited to launch Golf Hub, a powerful set of marketing automation capabilities available at no cost to all Golf Genius TM Club and TM Club Premium customers.

Within your familiar Golf Genius TM experience, you'll be able to:

  • Instantly create a promotional landing page (a "Golf Hub Page") for any event, league, or clinic.

Golf Hub Pages
______________________________________________

A Golf Hub Page is a promotional landing page, or digital flyer, for any event, league, or clinic at your facility. You can quickly and easily create a Golf Hub Page for any new or existing event in Golf Genius TM. Simply supply the basic details, select a banner image from your library, optionally enable online registration (with or without payments), and Golf Genius TM will automatically create a standard and professional landing page.

Another great feature of a Golf Hub Page is the ability to optionally showcase one or more sponsors by embedding their logo and linking directly to their website.

These Golf Hub pages can be used in your email and social media promotions to drive interest and make it easy for golfers to register.

After the event is complete, the Golf Hub Page will display the tournament results and leaderboard.

Club Hub
______________________________________________

The most powerful feature of Golf Hub is the ability to automatically aggregate your Golf Hub Pages into your “Club Hub”, a single page that showcases the playing and learning opportunities at your facility. As soon as you publish a Golf Hub Page for any individual event, league, or clinic, it will automatically be included in your Club Hub.

Within your Club Hub, golfers will have the ability to see all upcoming events that you've published. They can click on any individual event to visit the Golf Hub Page to see more information, register, and view tournament results.

Simply add a link to your Club Hub within your existing club website and your golfers will always have the latest information about the playing and learning opportunities that you've published from Golf Genius TM.

You can also embed your Club Hub into your email and social media promotions to increase awareness and drive participation at your club.

Event, League & Clinic Hubs
______________________________________________

In addition to your Club Hub, you'll be able to instantly and automatically create an Event Hub, a League Hub, and a Clinic Hub. For example, the Clinic Hub is a great tool to showcase all the upcoming Clinics at your facility.
