If you need to set up different storage rates for accounts, it’s very simple in Towbook.
If you have customer accounts or work zones (cities, counties, states, etc.) that have different storage pricing rules, you probably need to set up a new Storage service item for those jobs.
To set up a new storage rate service item, please follow these steps.
Go to "Settings" → Select "Pricing" → Click "Add a new Service Rate".
Enter a name for the new service rate (we suggest making it obvious – i.e. “State Police Storage”)
In the Category drop-down selection, you must select “Storage – Storage Fees” (see below)
Add your standard or default rate for that service item.
Select the "Choose Accounts" button and select any account that you want to use for this storage rate, then enter the storage fee for each account.
Be sure to select Save at the bottom of the page.
After your new storage fee has been created, you can use it when creating a new Impound in Dispatching. Keep in mind that the storage rate is not added to the call automatically, you need to choose which storage service item you want to use for each call.
