It is important to understand where to find your IP address and how it relates to your network, especially if you are running your games on console and need to link to your PC/Mac where the logger is installed.

🔸Windows 11

For Wi-Fi connection

  1. Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi and then select the Wi-Fi network you're connected to.

  2. Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.

For Ethernet connection

  1. Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Ethernet.

  2. Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.

🔸Windows 10

For Wi-Fi connection

  1. On the taskbar, select Wi-Fi network > the Wi-Fi network you're connected to > Properties.

  2. Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.

For Wi-Fi connection

  1. On the taskbar, select the Ethernet network icon > the Ethernet network connection.

  2. Under Ethernet, select the Ethernet network connection.

  3. Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.

🔸Mac

  1. Open the Apple menu and click System Settings.

  2. Click Network in the left panel and then select Wi-Fi or Ethernet (for wired connections).

  3. Click Details next to the network you’re connected to.

  4. Scroll down to see your Mac’s local IP address.

Console users

It is important that the logger and the console are on the same network, please ensure this is the case by looking at the first three sections of your IP address on both console and the machine where the logger is installed. These must match. See the example below

✅ Example 1 - same network

  • PC = 192.168.0.25

  • Console = 192.168.0.63

❌ Example 2 - different networks

  • PC = 192.168.1.25

  • Console = 192.168.0.63

If you have AP isolation ON (this is on your router) then please let us know as this will almost definitely affect the ability of the console to see the rest of your network.

🔸Xbox

  1. On the Xbox controller, press the “Menu” button to open the console’s menu interface.

  2. From the menu, select “Settings” > “Network” > “Network settings” > “Advanced settings.”

  3. Open “IP settings” to see your Xbox P address.

  4. Remember, this is just the current IP address. Unless you set up a static IP address, it is likely to change over time.

🔸Playstation

  1. Select Settings on the menu.

  2. Scroll down and select Network.

  3. Select View Connection Status.

  4. The number you want appears next to IP Address.
