Connect Your DHL Account to Track123
By default, Track123 retrieves DHL tracking data through our shared carrier channels, so you can track your shipments without any setup.
If you have your own DHL account, you can connect it to Track123 using your DHL API Key. This allows Track123 to retrieve tracking data directly from your DHL account.

For DHL, connecting your own account also allows you to request a higher rate limit if the default 250 calls per day is not enough for your shipment volume.
Before You Begin

If you don't have API access yet, request it through the DHL Developer Portal.
Step 1: Create a new app in DHL
Log in to the DHL Developer Portal.
Go to My Apps.
Click Create App.
Enter an App Name and Description. Select the following API setting: Shipment Tracking - Unified - Environment: prod-eu - Rate Limit: 250 per day
After the app is created successfully, its status may still show In Progress.
Newly created API keys may take up to 24 hours to become active.
Step 2: Get Your DHL API Key
Once your DHL app has been approved:
Go to My Apps and find the app you created in Step 1. Make sure the app is marked Approved.
Click the app name. Find and copy your API Key.
Step 3: Connect DHL to Track123
Open the Track123 Shopify App.
Go to Orders > Carrier matching > choose carrer > select dhl
Click Connect to Track Faster, and enter your DHL API Key.
Click Connect.
That's it. Once the connection is saved, Track123 will use your DHL account to get tracking data.
Note: If you don't connect your own DHL account, Track123 will continue to use our shared DHL tracking channel.
Request a Higher DHL Rate Limit
The default DHL rate limit is 250 calls per day.
If you have a high shipment volume and need more tracking requests, you can request a higher rate limit through the DHL Developer Portal.
Step 1: Open the Rate Limit Upgrade Request
Go to My Apps in the DHL Developer Portal.
Open your app.
Click request rate Limit Upgrade
Step 2: Enter Your Required Rate Limit
Calculate the required rate limit based on your highest daily shipment volume.
Use the following formula:
Daily shipment count × 5 × (24 ÷ 6)
For example, if your highest daily shipment volume is 1,000 shipments:
1,000 × 5 × 4 = 20,000 calls/day
We recommend using your highest daily shipment count when estimating your required limit.
Enter the calculated rate limit and complete the other required information in the form.
DHL may contact you for additional information. If they do, reply to confirm your requirements.
Once DHL approves your request, the higher rate limit will be available for tracking through your connected DHL account.
