Trackify Pixel Types

Trackify supports three different pixel types. Each type determines which products and events are tracked on your store.

1. Master Pixel

The Master Pixel tracks all events for all products across your entire store.

  • No filters

  • No restrictions

  • Works like a standard Meta (Facebook) Pixel

Example

You run a store selling:

  • Clothing

  • Accessories

  • Shoes

The Master Pixel will track events for every product, regardless of category, collection, or tag.

✅ Best for:

  • General tracking

  • Full-store retargeting

  • Broad Lookalike Audiences


2. Niche Tag Pixel

The Niche Tag Pixel tracks events only for products that contain a specific Shopify product tag.

You control tracking by applying a tag to selected products.

Example

You tag certain products as: pp_winter

A Niche Tag Pixel configured with pp_winter will:

  • Track events only for those tagged products

  • Ignore all other products (e.g., summer items)

✅ Best for:

  • Niche-specific campaigns

  • Product-line isolation

  • Precise retargeting and analytics


3. Collection Pixel

The Collection Pixel tracks events only for products that belong to selected Shopify collections.

It behaves like a Master Pixel, but only within the assigned collections.

Example

You create a Collection Pixel for:

  • Shoes Collection

This pixel will:

  • Track events for shoe products only

  • Ignore products outside the Shoes collection (e.g., accessories)

✅ Best for:

  • Collection-based campaigns

  • Seasonal or category-level tracking

How to Set Up a Niche Tag Pixel

Step 1: Create the Product Tag in Shopify

  1. Log in to Shopify Admin

  2. Go to Products

  3. Open the product you want to track

  4. In the Tags section, add a tag using this format:

    pp_product_tag

    Example: pp_toy

  5. Click Done, then Save

Repeat this for all products you want tracked by the Niche Tag Pixel.


Step 2: Add the Niche Tag Pixel in Trackify

  1. Log in to your Trackify dashboard

  2. Go to Pixels

  3. Click Add Pixel

  4. Select Pixel Type: Niche Tag Pixel

  5. In Tag Matching, enter the exact Shopify tag

    • Example: pp_toy

  6. Click Save Pixel

✅ The pixel will now track events only for products with that tag.
