Which Futures Symbols are Available for Backtesting?

At launch, you can backtest the following symbols:

  • ES: E-mini S&P 500 Futures

  • NQ: Nasdaq-100 Futures

  • YM: Dow Jones Futures

  • RTY: Russell 2000 Futures

  • CL: Crude Oil Futures

  • GC: Gold Futures (new)

Micro Futures Symbols Live: (new)

  • MES: Micro E-mini S&P 500 Futures

  • MNQ: Micro Nasdaq-100 Futures

  • MYM: Micro Dow Jones Futures

  • M2K: Micro Russell 2000 Futures

  • MCL: Micro Crude Oil Futures

  • MGC: Micro Gold Futures

How Far Back Can I Backtest Futures?

  • For futures symbols (ES, NQ, YM, RTY, CL), you can backtest as far back as Jan 2014.

  • For micro futures symbols (MES, MNQ, MYM, M2K), you can backtest as far back as May 2019.

  • For MCL, you can backtest starting from July 2021.
