Updated over 8 months ago

Creating Your Account and Registering your Company as a Broker on Tressl

  1. If registering your company account for the first time, first ensure that this is your company's first submission to Tressl and your company's account does not exist.

    1. If your company already exists but might have incomplete or incorrect information, please contact support@tressl.ca and we can assist you in correcting it.

    2. If your company does not exist, please select Broker / Contractor under the Organization Type, and not Industry. This will allow your company to submit a project on behalf of another company. If you think that your company might be registered as Industry, and not Broker - let us know!

Create your Client's Project

  1. Since you are already logged in as a Broker Organization, make sure when creating a Project that you are selecting your Client's organization, or the Grantee of the Agreement under the field Client Organization.

  2. Start typing your Client Organization name and see if it already exists in Tressl

  3. ‼️Before creating a new Organization, make sure that a company does not already exist in the system to prevent duplication. Check the spelling and all the available options. If you still cannot find your client's organization, please click on Create a New Organization at the bottom.

Copy & Paste Requests for Projects with Multiple Requests

  1. Tressl makes it easier to submit multiple requests under one project. Explore our support guide on 📌How to Submit multiple Requests.

Ensure the Client Organization field is correct.

  1. Once the project is submitted, in the Project view on the left side of the page at the top, make sure your client's org name is indicated correctly.

  2. Please contact support chat at the bottom of the page if the client organization is incorrect or if it indicates your Broker organization as Applicant.

‼️Please note that if everything was submitted correctly, you will not receive any notifications until the Agreement has been generated and ready for Partial Execution.

Getting Agreement Approved for Partial Execution

  1. Fill out necessary steps approve the contract for signature by following the Next recommended Action at the top of the Agreement Stepper. The workflow will point your attention to each field that needs to be filled.

    1. Please ensure that you are familiar with the Client's assigned Field Representative at the start of the contract execution. Field Representative information is required to partially execute the agreement on behalf of your client.

Partially Executing Agreements

  1. Sign on behalf of your Client

    1. If your client granted you permission to sign on behalf of the client organization, please choose Sign on Behalf of the Client.

    2. If your account does not have Signing Authority permission, you might have to contact support@tressl.ca to ensure your account can sign agreements.

  2. Sending Agreement for Partial Execution to your Client.

    1. Once the contract is approved for signature, you can also send the contract directly to the client.

    2. Once the notification to sign the agreement is sent to the Client, you will see a light green confirmation note at the top right corner.

    3. If the Grantee has a Tressl account, depending on their notifications setting, they will either receive an email with an update, or an in-app notification, or both.

      1. Your client then can navigate to their Tressl Signing Board and sign the agreement.

      2. If the Grantee does not have a Tressl account, you will have an option to input your Client's email to send the agreement to.
