For applicants (brokers, grantees) that are submitting requests through Tressl!

Welcome to Tressl!

The following article will show you, the applicant, how to create a new project + add requests. Screenshots are provided for your reference.

Lets get started!

How to Create a New Project

The following step-by-step guide will show you how to create a new project (a project is the overall information, where you can add multiple requests, in which an agreement will be generated for each request)

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: A separate request will need to be added for every unique location and/or request type. For example, if you have 3 different request types for a project (i.e. proximity, ground disturbance, and crossing) you will need to submit 3 requests for that project. This is what the "ADD & CREATE COPY" feature was made for, saving you the steps of re-entering the information for each one!

Step 1: On the top-left of your screen, select the tab "create"

Step 2: After clicking "create," you can enter the project information fields

Step 3: Once you've entered the project details, you will be prompted to "Add requests" - click anywhere in the center to add one

โš ๏ธ Please note that when adding requests to a project, each request will usually be distinguished by legal location, disposition or license number, request type, or a combination of these. Think of you project in Tressl representing a traditional request letter, where a request entry in the request letter would be a separate request in your Tressl Project.

Step 4: Select the first type of request you'd like to make (either a crossing or road use request)

Step 5: Select the "approving organization" (who you are applying to) from the dropdown menu

Step 6: Fill in the fields then press "next" on the bottom right-hand side

Note - required fields must be entered to move forward

Step 7: Add the attachment(s): Attachment of a map/plan is required to continue:

NOTE: Organizations may require more than the plan, which you will see on the top-right in the screenshot above ("Attachment Requirements for ...")

After you have uploaded the attachment:

  • Select "PLAN" from the drop-down for the "Type"

  • Add a brief description

NOTE: Once you click "save," you can go through these steps as many times as needed to attach all required files.

Step 8: Once all required attachments have been uploaded, the "next" button will be clickable. Click "next" to continue

Step 9: At this stage, you have 3 options:

Option 1: Select "Add & Create Copy" - This means to 'add' the current request & subsequently copy the existing information into another request. This saves you the time of repeating steps 1-9 for additional requests within the same project. Just update what fields need changes, and leave everything else the same!

Option 2: Select "Add & Create New" - If you'd like to add another request that does not have the same information as the one you've just made

Option 3: Select "Add Ecrossing" - Select if this is the only request you have for this project (note: you can come back to the project and add requests as needed)
