Add shifts to a schedule

Scheduling allows you to add shifts to a weekly schedule

Once you have set up employees and rotas, you can add shifts to a schedule for the week in Scheduling.

  1. Go to Scheduling.

  2. Select the week, the location, and the rota that you want to look into.

  3. Click on the unit within the schedule to add a shift.

  4. Select Manage Shifts.

    • Manage Shifts: Update the employee's shifts.

    • Book Annual Leave: Manually schedule annual leave and mark the employee's unavailable time period.

    • Book Other Leave: Manually schedule other types of leave and mark the employee's unavailable time period.

  5. Enter the start and end times, along with any break time if applicable, and select the appropriate hour type. To add an additional shift on the selected day, click Add Another Shift.

  6. Click Update Shifts.

After the schedule is set up, you can lock the shifts and the approver will be notified to review and approve the schedule. Once the schedule is approved, you can publish it, and the timesheet will be generated and sent to the employees.

Due to specific working restrictions for workers younger than 18, you can now see a flag against these employees when scheduling. This is now shown on scheduling and timesheets:
