What is a Working Time Directive report

By law, employees are not supposed to work more than an average of 48 hours per week over a 17-week period.

The Working Time Directive report allows you to check whether employees are working more than 48 hours per week on average over a 17-week period.

How to export a Working Time Directive report

  1. Go to the configure portal.

  2. Head over to Reports.

  3. Select Working Time Directive that sits under Scheduling & Timesheets.

  4. Select a date. The system exports the 17 weeks prior to the selected date.

  5. Choose the locations that you wish to view.

  6. To view employees who exceed the 48-hour limit, select Non-Compliant.

  7. Click on the Run button.

  8. Make sure the expected information appears in the on-screen report, and then click Download to export the data in the Excel spreadsheet.

How to schedule a Working Time Directive report

Scheduled reports can be set to automatically send to the relevant members via email, keeping them informed and ensuring that no one misses important information.

  1. After running the report, simply click Schedule.

  2. Give the report a title.

  3. Select the suitable frequency and time.

  4. Enable the report attachment if required. This allows recipients to view the report directly without having to log into Rota King, provided the report size is under 10 MB.

  5. Add email addresses.

  6. Click Save.

To make changes to a scheduled report, navigate to the Scheduled Reports section under Reporting, select the report you wish to modify, and edit it as needed.
