System User - Settings for Linked Employee

Some system users have a linked employee account. In certain scenarios, these users should not be able to approve their own shifts, edit their own shifts on schedules or timesheets, or approve their own leave requests.

To support this, new permissions have been introduced on the “Linked Employee” tab of the system user profile to control these behaviours.

Where can I find the settings for a linked employee

  1. Go to the Cog Icon on the top of the page next to the Question Mark

  2. Go to the System User block.

  3. Select the employee and click the Edit Button.

  4. Click the Linked Employee Tab

  5. You will see various tick boxes that you can select.

  6. Tick the box that says Can Approve Shifts for Linked Employee.

  7. Click the Blue Update button to save your changes.

💡Did You Know! Certain system users should not be able to approve their own shifts, edit their own shifts on schedules or timesheets, or approve their own leave requests (even when they approve leave for a rota they are part of).
