What is a leave approver
Leave approvers can approve or reject leave requests generated for the rotas they are assigned to.
How to add leave approvers
Go to Rota Management in the configure portal.
Select a rota that requires leave approvers.
Head over to the Leave Approvers tab.
Click Add Leave Approver.
Choose the system user and desired approver type.
All Employees: This allows the system user to approve or reject leave requests submitted by any employee assigned to the selected rota.
Selected Job Titles: This allows the system user to approve or reject leave requests only for employees whose job titles match the selected criteria. It's useful for role-specific approvals where team leads or managers oversee staff in similar positions.
Selected Employees: This system user is granted leave approval rights for specific employees only.
If you choose "Selected Job Titles" or "Selected Employees", a selected method will be required.
Included: Specify which job titles / employees are included.
Excluded: Specify which job titles / employees are excluded.
Tick "Send Approval Request Notifications" to enable the notifications.
Click Add.
Once leave approvers are added, any leave requests submitted by the selected employees must be reviewed and actioned by the leave approvers.
